Shop Honey

Born on the Rooftop

What started as a single hive on a Brooklyn rooftop has grown into a movement — connecting city dwellers with nature, one jar of honey at a time.

From One Hive to Fifty

In 2019, our founder Elena discovered the magic of beekeeping while volunteering at a community garden. Fascinated by the intricate world of honeybees and alarmed by declining pollinator populations, she placed her first hive on her apartment rooftop.

The honey was extraordinary — bright, complex, and unmistakably urban. Neighbors wanted jars. Friends wanted to learn. Building managers offered their rooftops. Within two years, what started as a hobby became nexiracollective.icu — a full beekeeping operation, honey brand, and community cafe.

Today we manage over 50 hives across the city, employ a team of passionate beekeepers, and serve thousands of customers who believe that sustainability and sweetness go hand in hand.

What Drives the Hive

Sustainability First

Every decision — from hive placement to packaging — is made with the planet in mind. We use recycled glass, compostable labels, and zero-waste production.

Community

We partner with schools, restaurants, and building owners to expand urban pollinator habitats and share the joy of beekeeping with all ages.

Artisan Quality

Our honey is raw, unfiltered, and single-origin. Each batch is unique, reflecting the seasonal blooms within a 3-mile radius of each hive location.

Education

Through workshops, tours, and our cafe, we teach the public about pollinators, food systems, and how everyone can help protect bees.
